Rita Barnett

Rita Fay Morris Barnett, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in North Little Rock. She was born May 1, 1934 in New Iberia, Louisiana to the late Philip Leo Morris and Verna Avants Morris.
Rita's family meant so much to her. She had a big heart for all animals, especially her cat and three dogs. Rita's pride and joy was her three sons.
Survivors are a sister, Jackie Morris Travis of North Little Rock; sons, Phillip Leo Barnett of North Little Rock, Lester Allen Barnett and wife Debbie of Wooster; grandchildren, Phillip Morris Barnett, Kaleb Luke Barnett, Drew Allen Barnett (Jessica), Rusty Dale Barnett (Crystal); great-grandchildren, Lakyn, Benson, Bentley and Mia; nieces and nephews, Bryan Scott (Martha), Beth Ann Lockwood (Mike), Trudy Kay Apple (Jeff).
She was preceded in death are mentioned parents; son, David Eugene Barnett; sister, Mary Ella Scott; brother-in-law, Robert Scott; and niece, Mary Alice Scott.
Rita was a longtime member of Amboy United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. before the funeral service. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
