Riley Gill,

Riley Plunkett Gill, Jr. 91, of Benton passed away on November 30, 2013. He was born in Little Rock, AR to the late Riley Plunkett Gill, Sr. and Minnie Reed Gill. He was a long time member of Rose Hill Church of the Nazarene.
Preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Elizabeth Gill; brother, Glen Ray Gill; sister, Wilma Gill Grosenbaugh; nephew, William Lee Gill, Jr. He is survived by his son, David W. Gill (Pat) of Bryant; daughter, Martha Jane Gill and granddaughter, Priya Gill both of Jonesboro; brother, William Lee Gill, Sr. of Perryville; his "other son" Dale White of Ferndale; a very special neighbor, Monica Kendrick; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
Riley was a WWII veteran. He retired from Missouri Pacific Railroad after forty-three years as Chief Time Keeper. He loved gardening, antique automobiles, railroad history and camping on the Buffalo River. He also enjoyed going to the Senior Adult Center in Benton, where he made many new friends.
The family would like to thank Elder Independence and Saline Memorial Hospice for the excellent care he was given. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rose Hill Church of the Nazarene, 11001 Kanis Rd., Little Rock, AR 72211.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3rd at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl, Ct., Little Rock, AR 72205 with Reverend Steve Comeans officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Monday, December 2nd at the Funeral Home
