Ricky Putt

Ricky Putt, of Cabot, died peacefully at his home on July 3, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father AZ Putt. Ricky is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Dorothy Bellamy Putt; son, Scott M. Putt of Cabot; daughter, Michelle (David) Stell of Cabot; two loving grandchildren, Russell Reeves of Grand Coulee Dam, Washington and Cheyenne Stell of Cabot; his mother, Gladys A. Turner Putt of Cabot; brother, Roger Anthony Putt of Mayflower; two sisters, Janice (Rick) Watson of Beebe and Joy (Brent) Thomas of Mechanicville, New York; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who meant the world to him.

He had a passion for sports which inspired him to coach for many years in Pony League and later the American Legion Ball. As time went by he coached T-ball through Babe Ruth League, but if he didn't coach he attended games or watched on TV. For many years he carried the chains for Cabot football games. Ricky also enjoyed playing softball for many years with Cabot United Methodist Church.

Ricky retired from the banking industry after forty years of service to Union National Bank, Worthen, Boatmans, Nations, and finally Bank of America. Through those years he made lasting friendships. Ricky had not been retired long, when the opportunity arose for him to work security at Cabot High School, only to be sidelined due to health reasons.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carti Foundation, American Cancer Society, AR Hospice, or Cabot United Methodist Church.
