Ricky L. Kellar

Ricky Kellar, age 56, of Hot Springs, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020.

He was born on January 17, 1964, in Hot Springs, the son of Charles Eugene Kellar and Eathel Faith Ann Barham Kellar. On June 17, 1994, he married Michelle Diggs. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Randy Kellar; and one nephew, Hunter Gilbert.

Ricky was a Christian in his faith. He worked as a building supervisor for the Hot Springs School District for 26½ years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman. He was a great storyteller and entertainer. To know Ricky was to love him and he was well-loved by so many.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle Kellar of Hot Springs; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert and Brittany Kellar and Richard Kellar; four grandchildren, Evan Kellar, Gage Kellar, Olivia Kellar and Ami Kellar; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Carl and Stephanie Kellar, Greg and Tammie Kellar, Charles and Kim Kellar, and Roger Kellar; one sister, Rejeania Cartwright, all of Hot Springs; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 7, 2020 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Pastor Lance Arguello officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the funeral home. Social distancing directives will be in place-100 or less at a time in chapel, face covering must be worn.

Interment will be in the Rush Fork Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Traylor, Steve Ashley, Jason Stachey, Roger Kellar, Greg Kellar and Randy Kellar.

Honorary pallbearers are Doyle Dearman, Ross Helms, Larry Love, Joe Tackett, Matt Cruz, Billy Gilbert, Kaye Curry, James Walston and Jim Gentry.
