Ricky D. Brewer

Ricky D. Brewer, age 68, of Glenwood, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018. He was born on August 2, 1950, in Holly Grove, the son of Ralph Eugene Brewer and Mazzie Funderburk Brewer. He was preceded in death by his father; and his brother, Arnold Eugene Brewer. He was a U.S. Army veteran. For over thirty-nine years he worked at Weyerhaeuser and for Exxon the last three years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to casinos, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Ricky will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Brewer of Glenwood; his children, April Autrey of San Antonio, Texas, Dennis Bailey of Vicksburg, Michigan, Jerry Bailey of Langley and Roy Garrett of Glenwood; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his mother, Mazzie Brewer of Daisy; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Bobby Brewer of Kirby, Jerry Brewer and Tony and Diana Brewer, all of Daisy; one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Steve Hill of Alpine; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
