Rickey Lynn Ramsey, 48, of Little Rock, passed away on January 8, 2010 at Arkansas Hospice Center in Little Rock. He was born July 30, 1961 in Conway, Arkansas. He studied ichthyology and owned and operated Rick's Tropical Fish in Los Angeles, California. After moving to Little Rock, he volunteered his time at several charitable organizations and served on the board of the Arkansas Aids Foundation. He enjoyed reading, listening to music, watching movies and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Hall Ramsey. He is survived by his partner of twenty years, Charles Price of Little Rock; mother, Oneta Ramsey of Russellville; and sisters, Diane Ramsey and Tammy Ramsey of Russellville, Lisa Johnson of Bee Branch and Regina Watson of Quitman. Also surviving are two nieces, four nephews and many friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 16 at 2 p.m. at Open Door Community Church, 709 West Lee Ave. in Sherwood with Pastor Randy McCain officiating.
