Rickey Delton Gonzales, age 58, of Austin, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021.
He was born on August 16, 1962, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of Ogden Gonzales and Virginia Burkes Gonzales. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lisa Gonzales.
Rickey was a member of Leander Congregation Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. He was a master plumber and owned Rick’s Services.
He was a loving brother, father and grandfather who could always get a laugh out of everyone he talked to. His two dogs, Lil Man and Rudy, were his true companions through the years. Rickey enjoyed his bible studies each week and looked forward to them. When he wasn’t working, you could usually find him at the pool hall enjoying a game of pool and a cold beer.
He is survived by his children, Kelly Gonzales and fiancé, Amanda Clark, Ashley Gonzales and spouse, Edward Gerusa; his grandchildren, Logan Gerusa and Ezra Clark; one brother and sister-in-law, Danny Gonzales and Cecile Gonzales, all of Hot Springs; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Hope and David Merrill of Beaufort, South Carolina, Sylvia Cantu of Kenner, Louisiana, Linda Case of Ponchatoula, Louisiana and Dawn Mantooth of Wichita Falls, Texas; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Graveside services will be 2:45PM, Friday, June 25, 2021, in the Morning Star Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1:00PM-2:00PM, Friday, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.
Pallbearers will be Derek Gonzales, Hunter Gonzales, Edward Gerusa, Larry Borcky, Jarrod Byerly and Brad Burkes.
