OBITUARY
Richard M. Whittecar, 86, of Little Rock, lost his brave battle with chronic pulmonary disease on June 15, 2008 at Baptist Hospital. He fought his illness to the end and was brave when it came his time to join the Lord. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Whittecar had an upholstery business until his retirement. He was an avid sportsman and gardener and loved being out on a river or lake fishing. He also loved his home and yard and spent many happy days working in his beautiful yard.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Juanita Whittecar; daughter, Joyce M. Brewer and son-in-law, Gene Brewer; two grand-daughters, Sherri Perez and Gena Brewer; and five great-grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Amanda, and Brittney Perez and Christopher Jacobs, all of Miami, Florida. Also surviving are step-daughters, Betty Clark and Crickett Broomas; step-son, Mike Cloud; step-grandchildren, Adam and Ryan Clark, Cristina Broomas, Sonya Cloud and six great-grandchildren, all of Arkansas. Preceding him in death was his wife, Lillie M. Whittecar.
His passing leaves those who know him and love him with great sorrow. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Services will be held on Thursday, June 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock, officiated by Mr. Bob Dunaway.
