Richard Eugene Olszewski, 73, of North Little Rock died Saturday, May 30th, 2015. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, December 18th, 1941 to Eugene and Anne V. (Garbacz) Olszewski.
Richard was an Air Force veteran, attaining the rank of Captain, serving eleven years during the Vietnam era. Of those eleven years, one was in Vietnam and three in Thailand. He served as a Missile Launch Officer and Air Intelligence Officer. Richard held a degree from Southern Illinois University in Business Management and also received his Juris Doctorate degree in Law from the University of Arkansas School of Law. He was employed by the State of Arkansas at the time of his retirement.
Richard is preceded in death by his father, wife of 46 years Vivian Rizzo Olszewski, and son Justin Olszewski. Survivors will include his children: Alexander Olszewski, Jordana Olszewski, Edmund (Caroline) Olszewski, and Gilbert Olszewski; grandson, Joseph Underwood, two brothers, Roger (Nancy) Olszewski and Thaddeus (Yvonne) Olszewski; and sister, Christine (Peter Bryant) Olszewski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said Monday, 11:30 a.m., June 8th, 2015 at St. Anne's Catholic Church. Visitation will be held prior to service from 10:30 -11:30 at the church.
