Richard Calvin Myers, 87, of Little Rock passed away Friday, January 27, 2012. He was born on December 23, 1924 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Russell and Cecil Jones Myers. Richard was a Marine and served in WWII. He attended Junior College and became a clerk with the US Postal Service for 28 years.
He is survived by his wife, Nona Myers of Little Rock; daughters, Linda Palapala and Pam Glasnapp (Randy); brother, Frank Myers (Jean); sister, Dorothy Tarabella; two grandchildren, Kai Palapala and Ryan Glasnapp. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Juanita Wahl, brothers, C.W. Myers and Raymond Myers.
Services will be held at Little Rock Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 1 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Stiffler officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the services starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander, AR. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
