Richard Holmes, 68, of Benton, AR passed away May 30, 2014. He was born on October 15, 1945 in Malvern, AR to Nowell Holmes and Ruby Bridges.
Richard retired from Reynolds Manufacturing lab department. He was an avid bass fisherman and a member of the Southwest Bass Club.
Richard is survived by his wife, Suzie Holmes of Benton, AR; 2 sons, Michael Holmes (Kristen) of Bossier City, LA and Clay Holmes (Sondra) of North Carolina; mother, Ruby Bridges; 2 half-brothers, 1 half-sister; and many other family members and friends who loved Richard and will miss him always.
Richard was preceded in death by his father and a half-brother.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, AR 72015. Graveside service officiated by Chaplain Jim Weakley will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 4th, 2014 at Mt. Harmony Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Baptist Hospice.
