Richard Finley, 65, of Little Rock, passed away January 1, 2019. Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Cecil and Nell Prater Finley, he worked as an industrial engineer for 30 years. His passion was photography, capturing nature and wildlife and historical locations. Richard loved to travel, especially to colder climates, despite his wife and daughter's occasional wish for a warmer place to relax. He also loved to cook, following recipes to the teaspoon. His chicken and dumplings were his daughter's favorite birthday meal.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathy Finley of Little Rock; daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and William Vasquez, Jr. of Jacksonville; grandchildren, William "Will" Vasquez III and one expected in July; and brother, Paul Finley of New York; and mother-in-law, Carolyn Eubanks of Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Finley.
There will be a gathering of family and friends to honor Richard's life on Friday, January 4 from 4-6 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), (501)224-2200. Richard's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
