Major Richard D. Brittle, 56 of Maumelle, passed away on January 5, 2008. For
37 years he was a minister in the Salvation Army. His last appointment was as Central Arkansas Area Commander.
He is survived by his wife, Fay Brittle of Maumelle; 1 daughter, Dorothy (Marco) Cantu of Dickinson, Texas; 1 son, David (Amanda) Brittle of Maumelle; 2 grandchildren, Christina and Kayla Brittle of Maumelle; mother-in-law, Dorothy New of Anniston, Alabama; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Brittle, and brother, Charles Brittle.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
