Rhonda Smith, age 68, of Newhope, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019, with a smile. She was born on November 3, 1951 and was preceded in death by her parents, D. C. and Betty Miller; her brother, Danny Miller; and her grandson, Trey Chandler. Rhonda was loved dearly by her family and friends. She had a special gift of spreading love and kindness to people she met. She was known as the "Queen of Christmas!" Rhonda put well over 100,000 miles on the back of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. She elk hunted and rode a mule in the Rocky Mountains and on the trails of the Ouachita Mountains. She had so many other adventures with her husband of 51 years, Sidney Smith. She is survived by her husband, Sidney Smith; her daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Paul Ward and Amanda and Bo Chandler; her grandchildren, Jimmie Ward and his wife Lindsey, Hope Ward, Katie Chandler and Casey Chandler; her great-grandson, Huck Ward; her sisters, Ruth Woodall and Diann Koenig; her dog, Spot; and her cats, Tony and Sug. Rhonda attended the Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 18, 2019, in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Bro. Kenny Fant officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
