Rex Allen Curtis

Rex Allen Curtis, age 67, of Hot Springs, was killed in a car wreck October 14, 2016, in New Albany, Mississippi. Rex was born on February 19, 1949, the only son of Alvin and Violet Simmons Curtis. He was preceded in death by his parents, older sister, Nina Curtis Williams and the love of his life and faithful companion, Miss Choy. Rex was baptized as a teenager at Memorial Baptist Church, a 1967 graduate of Lake Hamilton High School and attended Arkansas Tech. He served in the United States Army as a M. P. in Vietnam. Survivors are his sisters, Lynn Curtis Young (Joe David), Jonne Miller Doster (John) and Jeannie Miller Huegel (Greg); brother-in-law, Stanley Williams; nieces and nephew; great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins; and many friends. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM, November 2, in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, led by Allen Coker. Rex loved people and life, and will be missed by all who knew him.
