Rev. William Hooper

Rev. W.D. Hooper, 87, of Scott, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2012. He was born March 14, 1924 in Townley, Alabama to James and Ethel Gunter Hooper. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and an ordained minister of the United Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Florine Hooper; five children, Gwen, Davis, Yvonne Benson, Katherine Chism (Jerry), Wanda Seaman and Bobby R. Hooper (Dena); one brother; seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

Services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday at the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Keo Cemetery in Keo, Arkansas. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com .
