Rev. Roy Moyers

William Roy Moyers, 91, of McRae passed away Friday, February 19 at White County Medical Center. He was born January 19, 1919 in Morrilton. He was preceded in death by his parents W.C. and Marina Ward Moyers; two brothers, Bruce Moyers, Robert Moyers, one sister, Evelyn Barnett; deceased wives Dorothy Colburn Moyers and Eunice Gammill Moyers. Rev. Moyers is survived by his wife Ethelyn McDoniel Moyers of McRae, daughters, Helen and Wes Kyle of Cabot, Gayle and Tracy King of Texarkana, one step son, Arnold and Ernestine Shaw of Higginson, one step daughter, Martha and Jimmy Rogers of McRae, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. He was a graduate of Cabot High School, Hendrix College, Conway and Perkins School of Theology in Dallas, Texas. Rev. Moyers pastured United Methodist Churches in North Arkansas and North Texas for forty-one years.
