Rev. John Hickman
The Reverend John L. Hickman, age 77 of Cabot, passed away February 29, 2016 in Searcy, Arkansas. John was born July 7, 1938 in Osceola, Arkansas; and he was the son of John Thomas Hickman and Ruby Hickman.
Rev. Hickman was a Nazarene minister for nearly thirty-five years, serving his Lord and Savior as the pastor of Forrest City Church of the Nazarene and serving in the North Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri, Texas, and South Arkansas Districts of the Church of the Nazarene. He was currently a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene in North Little Rock. Church was John's life, in addition to spending time with his family, and in later years enjoying cruises with his wife.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Brenda Hansell.
Survivors include his wife Lynn Hickman of the home; a daughter Michelle Hickman; a brother Richard Hickman; a son John David Poe; a granddaughter Sarah King; and a niece, several nephews and other family members and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Grace Church of the Nazarene at 3923 Camp Robinson Road, in North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the South Arkansas District Nazarene Campground, at P.O. Box 55005, Little Rock, Arkansas 72215, Attn: Dist. Campground in memory of John Hickman.
