Rev. Ralph E. Hemund

Rev. Ralph E. Hemund, age 95, of Glenwood, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 25, 2024. He was born on June 13, 1929, in Elkhart, Indiana, the son of Albert and Rhea Hemund. On June 13, 1948, he was married to Alice Zinn Hemund. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; his sons, John Hemund and Jack Hemund; and his wife, Alice.
He was an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church having pastored multiple churches in Indiana and Arkansas over a span of 40 years. He was a lifelong farmer.

He is survived by wife, Mary Helen Hemund of Glenwood; five sons and their spouses, James and Irasema Hemund of Glenwood, Joe and Jean Hemund of Glenwood, Jay and Barbara Hemund of Amity, Jerry and Jami Hemund of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Jeff and Carla Hemund of Glenwood; four daughters and their spouses, Jane and Jay Daniel of Camden, Julie and Rickey Owens of Amity, Janet Raines of Amity and Jill and Alan Cargile of Kirby; a total of 93 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-greats; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 30, at 10:00 A.M., in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Rev. Chris Hemund officiating.
Visitation with the family is at 9:00. Interment will be in the Jones Cemetery.
