Rev. Grady H. Cook, age 89, of Norman, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. He was born on February 12, 1927 in Humphrey, Arkansas, the son of Charley Benjamin Cook and Martha D. "Mattie" Jones Cook. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Bates Cook; and three sons, Samuel Cook, Ronald Cook and Teddy Cook. He was a retired Pentecostal evangelist, traveling and preaching in many different places. He loved to fish and enjoyed buying and selling items or "horse trading" as it is known. He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Beneta and Alvin, Jr. Stenerodden of Black Springs, Deborah and Frank Gregorio of Corning, California and Vicki Cook of Amity, formerly of Corning, California; two daughters-in-law, Easter Cook of Black Springs and Beverly Cook of Alpine; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 2, 2016, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Ralph Hamilton and Bro. Eric Wehunt officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Alpine. Pallbearers will be Casey Cook, David Anderson, Chad Stenerodden, Scott Cook, Justin Cook, Jeremy Cook, Rodney Cook and Rusty Cook. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
