Ret. Army SSG, Patricia Lee Craver, 83, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on July 13, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hershel Leroy Walters, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Martin) Walters Elmore; stepfather, Alvin Elmore; brother, Hershel Leroy Walters, Jr. (Butch); and husband, Kenneth Craver. 

She is survived by her loving daughter, Debra Lee Goff (Knode); granddaughter, Nicole Rodgers and her children, Brody and Alden; grandson, Jason Duncan and his children, Courtlyn and Corbin; along with a host of family and friends. 

Pat, as most people called her, grew up in the Levy area of North Little Rock, Arkansas. She attended Ole Main High School where she graduated in 1958.

Patricia lived 21 years in Colorado where she joined the Colorado Army National Guard; serving 20 years to fully retire in 1997. She was a veteran of Desert Storm.

In 2002, she moved home to Arkansas where she learned what it meant to be a “Gammie.” She was often seen at ballgames, parks, movies, and bowling lane cheering on her grandchildren. 

In leiu of flowers, Patricia donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Association or Wounded Warrior Project.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM-7:00PM on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107). Interment with full military honors will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
