Reginald ?Andy? Andrews, 66, of North Little Rock, passed away Monday, November 17, 2008. He was retired Sergeant from the North Little Rock Police Department, Officer of the Year 1973, member of the original Swat Team, fire arms instructor, and currently employed with the UALR Police Department. Andy was United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post #1, and The Fraternal Order of Police. He was a member of Levy United Methodist Church, a chair person of the trustees, a Sunday School teacher, member of the choir and hand bell choir, P.I.T. Crew, and Methodist Men.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dawn Andrews; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Walter and Eliza Andrews of Benton; four daughters, Kim Rodriguez of El Paso, Texas, Katrina Rutter of Paragould, Kaylene Amell and her husband, Bryan, of Camden, Tennessee, Heidi Andrews of North Little Rock; a brother and sister-in-law, John ?Tony? and Linda Andrews of North Little Rock; a special grand-daughter, Jennifer Sharum of Camden; Tennessee; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank and Sanda Richardson, of Cincinnati, Ohio; seventeen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and cherished pet, Prissi. Andy was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Andrews and a brother, James Andrews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Levy United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com
