Regina Erma Thomas Carmichael Norwood “Mimi”, passed from this life on February 10, 2021. She was born February 7, 1950 in Augusta, Georgia to the late Richard and Dee Harris Thomas. Regina was of the Baptist Faith. She was always active in her church, often volunteering in the nursery. She also ran a daycare center for many years where she loved every child that she cared for as her own. Her Hobbies included collecting, scrap booking, crafts and playing cards. Mimi was a dreamer and always encouraged her children and grandchildren to shoot for the stars. In addition to her parents, her husband, Robert Norwood Sr.; children, Dicky Norwood, Vern Ransburg; grandson, Brandon Carmichael; Great grandson, Brandon; siblings, Daniel (D.T.) Thomas and Karen Thomas Owens preceded her in death.

Left to mourn her passing are children, Sandy Reppucci (Jimmy Westmoreland) of North Little Rock, David (Jenniffer) Carmichael of New Jersey, Tim (Melissa) Norwood of East End, Bobby Norwood Jr., of Louisiana, David Norwood of Louisiana; grandchildren, Ashlee (Carson) Toland, Leena Reppucci (Joseph Stricklin), Ashton Westmorland, Ethan (Savannah) Westmorland, Jake Carmichael, Jonathan (Brittany) Carmichael, Jacob Carmichael (Heather Love), Kristopher (Kelly) Kerr, Nick Norwood, Natalie Norwood, Brandon Permenter, Nathan Permenter, Jennifer Norwood Collins, and Robby Norwood. Other survivors include great-grandchildren, Trystan, Payton, Cohen, Logan, Harlee, Elias, Adalynn, Brianna, Sammy, Amira, Alex, Hunter, Madison, and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.
