Rebecca Ann Sage, 82 of Little Rock, AR passed away February 9, 2025.

She was born in Hope, Arkansas on March 15, 1942. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Emma; her stepmother, Clara Mae; and her father, Thurman Walter Ridling.

Survivors include her husband, John Allen Sage; sons: David (Peggy) of Benton, Donald (Alan), and Michael (Karen) of Little Rock; two granddaughters: Leah Sage of Little Rock and Merritt Sage of Dallas; two step-granddaughters: Brandy McGee (Matt) and Christy Stewart.

Three step-great-granddaughters: Elizabeth Crites, Hannah Stewart, and Lydia Stewart; one step-great-great-grandson, Eli Crites; one step-great-great-granddaughter, Avery Napier.

After graduation from Spring Hill High School, Becky moved to Little Rock to attend the Baptist School of Nursing during which time she met John. After a short courtship they became engaged on Valentines Day. Upon graduation she began her nursing career at Baptist Hospital. After the kids were born, she became a school nurse for the Little Rock School District. 

She also enjoyed working at med camps during the summer. Becky had survived five cancers and was in a lot of pain during her life. She had a strong will to live and when she was able, she enjoyed traveling, following the razorbacks, being with her friends at Asbury United Methodist Church and spending time with her family. The family wishes to thank Becky Burgess for everything she has done for Becky.

In Lieu of flowers please make donations to Asbury United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice. A memorial service will be help at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1700 Napa Valley Dr., Little Rock. Arrangements entrusted to Smith Little Rock Funeral Home.
