Rebecca Joyce

Rebecca Joyce (Richards), born on October 27, 1954, in Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, in her hometown of Little Rock. She was 70 years old.

Rebecca was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She shared a long and devoted marriage with her husband Richard of 51 years.

Together they raised two children: their son Robert and daughter Kathryn Lynn Adams, who is married to Michael Adams. Rebecca found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Stephen Adams-Joyce and Michael Adams Jr., cherishing every moment spent with them. She is also remembered by her sister Sharon Talbot and her mother Evelyn Jean Brister. Rebecca was preceded in death by her father, Roy Ellis Richards.

Rebecca devoted her life to service—both to her country and to those she loved most. Over the course of a distinguished 30-year career in government service, she worked with dedication and integrity at the Internal Revenue Service and later with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She retired from the Army Corps of Engineers after many years of faithful service.

A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. Little Rock, AR. Rebecca will be laid to rest at Butler Cemetery in Mabelvale, AR.
