Becky Phelps Brown, 59, of Arkadelphia died Sunday October, 7, 2007 in Arkadelphia. She was born December 3, 1947 in Little Rock, the daughter of Walter T. and Maxine Meeks Phelps.

She taught school for the Arkadelphia School District for 31 years, was currently teaching at Goza Middle School, as well as being a member of the Clark County Retired Teachers Association. She coached Special Olympics, was the Goza Middle School representative to the Arkadelphia Personnel Policy Committee, a member of Alpha Sigma Tau, a member of Arms Around Arkadelphia, and Ministry Coordinator for the Second Baptist Church Second Milers.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Brown of Arkadelphia; a son, Todd Brown of Crawford, TX; two daughters, Tara Stacks of Morgantown, WV; and Traci Schee of Okolona; a step-daughter, Marsha Ivy of Flower Mound, TX; her mother, Maxine Phelps of Arkadelphia; and ten grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2007 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, Arkadelphia.

Funeral Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Second Baptist Church, Arkadelphia, with the Rev. Faron Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Memorial may be made to the Second Baptist Church of Arkadelphia, or to the American Diabetes Association.
