Alene Ledbetter age 87, of Bismarck, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 peacefully at home surrounded by family.

She was born March 4, 1931 in Bismarck, Ar. to Billy Thomas and Lesie Ashley Thomas.  Alene was retired from Levi Strauss in Arkadelphia after 30 years.  The next 30 years she would assist the many friends she would make in the fabric department at the Arkadelphia Wal Mart. When not at work Alene loved to cook, do puzzles, take her grandchildren shopping and love on her puppies.

Alene is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Johnny Ledbetter. She has left to share her memories her two children; Michael Ledbetter and Jan Spradlin, two grandchildren; Shanna Berlin and Caleb Berlin, seven  great-grandchildren; Aaron Taylor, Lanna Adams, Stephen Pacheco, Ashton Pacheco , Brooklyn Berlin, Grayson Berlin, Kennedy Berlin,  and three great- great grandchildren; Braylen Steelman, Kaysen Steelman, and Kabella Taylor.

Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 12th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia, with Brother Van Glidewell officiating. Pallbearers will be Aaron Taylor, Stephen Pacheco, Shane West, Caleb Berlin, Tommy Hancock, and Braylen Steelman. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
