R.D. Melton

R.D. Melton, of North Little Rock, Major USAR and retired Mortgage Banker from Union National Bank of Little Rock. He passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020.

R.D. was born February 9, 1927 in Buckville, Arkansas (Garland County) to Rev. and Mrs. Joe Melton. He graduated from Hot Springs High School and Ouachita Baptist College (now University).

He was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church in North Little Rock, since 1959 where he was an Usher and member of the Money Counting department, along with numerous other responsibilities.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Andrea Melton and Susan Lesko; and six siblings. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Roe Melton; son, David K. Melton and a granddaughter, Meredith Dennis.

Graveside service will be 12:00 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2020 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery .
