Raymond Wilbanks

Raymond Jackson Wilbanks, 90, of Little Rock, passed away January 20, 2015. Born in Little Rock to Rueben Jack and Leona Brown Wilbanks, he was a U.S. Navy WWII and Korean War veteran and a member of Community Park Church. He was a firefighter with the Little Rock Fire Department for twenty-one years and with the Little Rock Air Force Base for thirteen years.

Preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lula Belle Wilbanks, he is survived by his daughters, Darlene Jones and husband, Steve of Benton, Debra Vanya and husband Tim of Mabelvale, and Sheri Adams and husband, Jesse of Pocotello, Idaho; sister, Jeanne Garner of Milford, Ohio; brother, Don Wilbanks and wife, Joyce of Marble Falls, Texas; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be this evening, Thursday, January 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Friday, January 23 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Wayne Putman. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.

Memorials may be made to Community Park Church (formerly known as First Church of God), 4630 South Shobe Rd., Bryant, AR 72022.
