Raymond Vaughn, age 65, of Dallas, Texas, died Monday, April 6, 2015, in Tyler, Texas. He was born July 17, 1949, in Glenwood, the son of Hilrey and Rosa Lee Burchfield Vaughn. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Glowie Vaughn; his wives, Kathleen Vaughn and Ruby Vaughn; and his brother, Odell Vaughn. He was a graduate of Glenwood High School, Henderson State University, and the University of Arkansas-School of Law. He was retired from Southwestern division of AT&T in Dallas, Texas, and he had also worked in Greenville, Texas and Tyler, Texas. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Linda Vaughn of Tyler, Texas; his niece, Heather Vaughn Bankhead of Amity; Dave Bain of Tyler, Texas which Raymond considered to be his adopted brother; three stepsisters, Twyla Anderson and her husband, Jimmy, of Glenwood, Audrey Baker of Wake Village, Texas and Linda Wood and her husband, Mike, of Hot Springs; and numerous friends and co-workers in Tyler, Texas and Dallas, Texas. It was Raymond's request that no services were to be held. Burial was held on Thursday, April 9, 2015, in the Mount Tabor Cemetery in Glenwood. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, Texas or a charity of your choice.
