Raymond F. Smoker

Raymond “Ray” F. Smoker, 76, a proud Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army, took his place in Heaven May 26, 2023, at the VA Hospital in Little Rock. He was born to the late Eldo and Bessie Smoker in Galena Park, TX on August 15, 1946.

Ray was a loving brother, father, pawpaw, great pawpaw, and friend to all who knew him.

At the age of 17, Ray enlisted in the Army, he valued this service highly and attained the rank of SP4 during his time in Vietnam.

Ray is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Vaneice Smoker; son, David Austin Smoker, Sr.; and granddaughter, Ashleigh Smoker.

Ray is survived by his brother, Carl Smoker, son, John Smoker (Leigh Ann); grandchildren, Tyler Smoker (Caitlyn), Anna Arteaga (Rolando); David Smoker, Jr. (Vanessa); and Cheyenne Smoker; great-grandchildren: Savanna, Maddy, Jose, Zoe, Ray, Aiden, Daisy, Killian, and Ansley.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday June 2, 2023, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W DeWitt Henry Drive, Beebe, AR 72012. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Saturday June 3, 2023, at Floyd Assembly of God, 120 Church Rd, Searcy, AR 72143. Burial to follow at Romance Cemetery.
