Raymond Carter

Raymond D (Radie) Carter was born February 16, 1969 in Memphis Tennessee . He went to be with the Lord December 1, 2013 in Little Rock , Arkansas He is survived by his sisters, Wylie Barker and her husband, Ryan of Little Rock; Jeanne Hadley and her husband, Matthew of Little Rock; Debbie Carter of Ramer, Tennessee; Susie Carter of Sherwood; and Majunta Bulovic of Heber Springs, Arkansas ; aunt, Theresa Burkett of Heber Springs; nieces, Jessica, Erika, Mary, Hilary, Stephanie, Ana, Kristina and Tatjana; and nephews, Jack, Brannon and Rowdy. He also leaves great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and a large number of friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sophronia Ruth (Revel) Carter; father, Raymond Derrington Carter; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Radie grew up and lived most of his life in Memphis, only leaving to be an over the road truck driver and eventually live his last days with his sister in Little Rock. Radie loved and was loved by many friends and family. He always had a special place in his heart for his mother, and knew he was her favorite. He nurtured a love for painting later in life and was a fervent music lover. Those who knew him will forever think of him when they hear the Go-Go's. He loved cats and was the proud owner of at least 6 of these "babies" over the years. He loved his Facebook friends, and even though he never met some of them, they filled his life with love, friendship and acceptance. In return, he entertained them with wild karaoke videos and his ever present surveys.
He worked in the service industry his entire life and enjoyed helping others. He was a gentle soul who throughout the last two years of his illness never once showed anger at his situation, instead keeping his sense of humor in the forefront and telling everyone how much he loved Jesus. He was a child of the Lord and He wanted to tell everyone that he hopes to see you in heaven.
