Raymond Allen Wehunt

Raymond Allen Wehunt, age 84, of Bryant, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021.

He was born on September 6, 1937, in Hopper, the son of Edgar Addis Wehunt and Hattie Self Wehunt. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Wayne Wehunt; and his sister, Lucille Vines.

He was a member of the Church of Christ and was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force. Over the years he played in different bands as vocal backups and guitar player. He was a carpenter, enjoyed woodworking, and loved to build cabinets.

He is survived by his four sons and two daughters-in-law, James and Shara Wehunt, John Wehunt, Justin Wehunt and Shane and Teejae Wehunt; his daughter and son-in-law, Jeanna and Lance Hill; seven grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Olieta and John Allmon; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside services were held at 9:00 AM, Thursday, November 4, 2021, in the Black Springs Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
