Ray Whitcomb, 58, of Sheridan, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2009. He was a master plumber for Richardson Plumbing Company, former owner/operator of Ray Whitcomb Plumbing and plumbing code teacher at Pulaski Tech. Ray was a former member of the Little Rock Executive Association. Ray was a cowboy at heart, who loved his horses, deer hunting and spending time with his wife in their dream home.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Watkins) Whitcomb; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Amy Whitcomb of Benton; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Shane Stoops of Ico; step-son, Blake Rogers of Sherwood; step-daughter, Stephanie Rogers of Jacksonville; three brothers, Bill Whitcomb of North Little Rock, Donald Whitcomb (Doris) of DeValls Bluff and John Whitcomb of DeValls Bluff; three sisters, Faye Ellis (Dave) of Center Ridge, Macie O?Dwyer (Sean) of Milbridge, Maine and Debby Ellis of Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Hope, Sarah, Colton, Trye, Courtney, Johnathan and Paige; and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be at 12:00 p.m. in Oakland Cemetery, DeValls Bluff. The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
