Raymond (Ray) Lee Sorrows, of North Little Rock, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend was a native of Hazen Arkansas, passed to eternity on Monday November 24th. Immediately after high school graduation he volunteered for the US Army. He went to basic training, at Fort Riley Kansas. While in basic training the Korean War broke out. He transferred to Fort Campbell Kentucky and became a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne division. Then in the spring of 1951 he joined the 187th airborne combat team in Korea. He saw combat from 1951 to 1953 while being assigned the entire time as a medic with the heavy machine gun platoon of D Company. He was a recipient of various combat citations.
Following discharge from the US Army, he attended and graduated from Little Rock Junior College with a major in pre-law studies. He was a graduate of Arkansas Law School in Little Rock in 1959.
In 1960 he received an appointment as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, spending the majority of his career in northern and New England divisions. He retired out of the Little Rock FBI division after 25 years of service in 1986.
He then formed an investigative and security company known as World Wide Investigations and Security Services, which he operated until his death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Glenna Holder Sorrows. Six children, son Travis (Pam) of Hot Springs, AR. Son Tim (Eileen) of Liberty Town Ship, Ohio. Daughter Teresa House of North Little Rock, AR. Daughter Tama Crotts of North Little Rock. Son Terry (Mary Simms) of Atlanta, GA. Son Tommy Sorrows of North Little Rock, AR. Grandchildren, Kelly Sorrows, Taylor Sorrows, Lauren Boettcher, Michael Sorrows, Matthew Sorrows, Amber House, Erica House, Phillip Crotts, Spencer Crotts, Collin Crotts, Peyton Sorrows, Elizabeth Paige Sorrows, Hampton Sorrows, Ashlyn Sorrows, Drew Sorrows. Step-grandchildren: Russell Rolle and Stephan Holmquist. Other surviving relatives: Brother Harvey Sorrows (Tina) of Lonoke, AR. Sisters-in-law: Velma Sorrows of North Little Rock, Gen Sorrows of Sherwood, AR, Louise Sorrows of Sherwood, AR and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Abner Sr., and two brothers, Richard and Abner Jr.
The family wishes to thank the nurses at St. Vincent, Baptist Hospice and a special thanks to his doctor and friend, Dr. Jon Jones.

Rosary Service will be held at North Little Rock Funeral Home on Friday November 28th at 7 P.M. Christian burial mass at Immaculate Conception church Saturday November 29th at 10 A.M. with interment at Rest Hills Memorial Park, North Little Rock, AR. Pallbearers will be Bill Younts, Larry Patterson, Roger Gay, Monty Vickers, Tom Ross and Jim Handly. Honorary pallbearers will be Co-police workers and police officers.
