Randy Tedder, age 79, of Kirby, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024.

He was born in Inglewood, CA, on March 23, 1945. He was the son of Elzie Tedder and Ferna Jones Tedder. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Nancy Killian.

Randy was a member of Daisy Freewill Baptist Church. He worked for PPG Industries until he retired at 45 years old. In his free time he thoroughly loved deer hunting, fishing, and riding on his four-wheeler. Randy served the Arkansas Army National Guard from 1965-1971 as a expert marksman. He graduated from Kirby High School in 1963. Randy was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Dewanna and Michael Abshure; his two grandsons and their wives, Jimmy Ray and Morgan Abshure and Jake and Beth Abshure; his three great-grandchildren; his sister, Charlotte Dunlap; and his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends. 

The Pallbearers are Larry Jo Mack, Johnathan Neal, Billy Cogburn, Matt Cook, Jimmy Abshure, and Jake Abshure.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel- Glenwood with Bro. Ronnie White officiating.

Visitation will be held prior to services on Friday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM.

Interment will be held at Mount Joy Cemetery.
