Priscilla Jean Burkeen

Priscilla Jean Burkeen, born on April 5, 1934, in Trimble, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024. Priscilla's life was a testament to her hard work.

Alongside her beloved husband, Billy H. Burkeen, whom she cherished for 66 years, Priscilla ventured into the world of entrepreneurship. Together, they opened Tastee Freeze in Memphis, Tennessee, subsequently expanding their passion for ice cream and good food by establishing multiple locations throughout Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma. 

Priscilla was preceded in death by her husband, Billy; her parents, Thomas and Lillie Rasberry; and three siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Carol Fortner, and grandson, Burke Adams Fortner.

A graveside service will be held on October 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
