Phyllis Kay Rhoden, age 61 of Scott, Arkansas, passed away May 15, 2015 in Little Rock. She was born November 2, 1953 in Little Rock; and she was the daughter of Elbert Monroe Taylor Sr. and Ruby Pearl Taylor.

Mrs. Rhoden was a retired salesperson, who will be remembered for her love of family and being a giving and kind person. Phyllis was a people person, who enjoyed cooking for those she loved, as well as sharing her recipes with them, and in recent years she developed a passion for enjoying watching cooking shows on television.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother; her son Rodney Eugene Rhoden; two brothers Billy Joe Taylor Sr. and Raymond Clifton Taylor; and one sister Myrtle Katherine Taylor.

Phyllis leaves behind her husband John Rhoden; a daughter Monica McEleay; brothers Elbert Monroe Taylor and Johnny Mack Taylor; sisters Betty Jean Chrissonbery and Ruby Diane St. John; grandchildren, Amber Rhoden, Robert Lee Young, Jr., Jordan Marie Young, Christian John Rhoden and Katie Nicole Rhoden; two special nieces Shelly Leck and Melissa Rhoden; two special sister in laws Kathy Rhoden and Sheril Shumaker and a special friend Becky Holiday; and a host of other family, loved ones and friends.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel at 7700 Highway 107, Sherwood, Arkansas with burial following at Hamilton Cemetery in Carlisle.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood.
