Phyllis Lock

Phyllis Lock, age 88, of Glenwood, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020. She was born on June 17, 1931, in Kennebunk, Maine, the daughter of George S. Robinson and Alice Gertrude Shuffleberg Robinson. On September 6, 1948, she was married to Gordon Stanley Lock. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; nine sisters; her brother-in-law, James Lock; and her sister-in-law, Ginger Self. She was a member of the Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church and retired after thirty-six years of dedicated employment with the Glove Factory. She enjoyed fishing, archery, crafts and working in her gardens. Phyllis will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Gordon Lock of Glenwood; her brothers-in-law, Richard Lock and his wife, Carolyn, of Glenwood and Doyce Self of Tulsa, Oklahoma; many loving nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family members and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 13, 2020, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. Bobby Lock and Bro. Kyle Cowart officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to the services. Interment will be in the Caney Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brant Lock, Adam Lock, Ryan Lock, Ethan Lock, Brandon Lock, Nathan Ratliff, John McCoy and Shawn McCoy. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Francis, Justin Lock, the nurses and staff of the Glenwood Health and Rehab, and the nurses and staff of Elite Hospice. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
