Mom was preceded in death by their precious baby Forrest Scott Lacefield when he was 2. Her Father George Frappier when she was 9 years old, her mother Addie Lee Barner and her stepfather who she called daddy, Hays Barner.

Survivors include her children, Richard (Judy) Lacefield, Michelle and Fredy Ortiz who took care of mom like she was his own, and Shawna (Marco) Jules; her grandchildren Ricky, Savannah, JT, Jordon, Graham , Scott , Camila, Shane (Heather) Cornwell, Shelly (David) Perrin, Heather (Steven) Bruce; her one brother Reg Barner and his wife, Vanessa, who was momma's sister and dearest friend, a friend and loved one, Elizabeth Kearns, who treated momma like her own; she is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mom spent her life dedicated to God and to helping others through her work in Nursing Homes as an administrator for many years, then when she was 45, she went to nursing school and set the curve. As an RN, she was a director of nursing homes as well as an Administrator. Momma treated every resident, Nurse, CPA, and every person who ever worked with her like family. She demanded the best for all her people and she got it.

Momma was so loved. She was and will always be the guiding light in her children’s lives and the lives of everyone who knew her. She was full of strength, grace, integrity, bravery, loyalty, sharp wit where nothing got past her and was the shoulder and mentor to her family and countless others who also called her momma Phyllis. Momma will be so missed but remembered with love always.
