Phylis L. Paxton-Williams, 78, of Benton, Arkansas passed away October 18, 2020. She was born November 5, 1941 in Delaplaine, Arkansas to the late Willis Wilburn and Sylvia (Boyd) Rae.
Phylis is best described as a selfless person. She was a people person who always looked for ways to help others. Phylis was involved in helping with Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Red Cross, volunteering at her church- Mount Harmony Baptist Church, as well as many other organizations. Phylis always put others first and never said a bad word about anyone. In her spare time, Phylis enjoyed fishing, reading, and gardening.
Preceding Phylis in death are her husband, Stanley H. Paxton; daughter, Rebecka Paxton; parents, Willis Wilburn and Sylvia (Boyd) Rae; and brother, Charles Dean Rae.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Willis Paxton and his wife Cathy of Benton, Arkansas; granddaughter, Audrey Reed and her husband Kevin of Benton, Arkansas; sister, Patsy Burke and her husband Thomas of DeAnn, Arkansas; and many other family members and friends who love Phylis and will miss her always.
Graveside service, officiated by Bro. Kevin Sterling, will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 31, at Smith-Rosemont Cemetery, 1010 Military Road, Benton, Arkansas.
