Phoebe Elizabeth Grier, 86, of Little Rock, died Saturday, July 21, 2007 in Farmerville, LA. She was born September 19,1920 in Okolona, AR, the daughter of the late Jamie and Manie Winfield Grier.

She was a retired Registered Nurse, having worked for the V.A. in Little Rock for 30 years. She attended Peabody College in Nashville, TN, and completed her nurse's training at St. Joseph School of Nursing in Hot Springs. Phoebe was a member of the Okolona United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Bill Grier of Monroe, LA; a sister-in-law, Madoline Grier of Farmerville, LA; a very special lifelong friend, Virginia Guffey of Little Rock; nephews, Richard Horn of Bastrop, TX, Jimmy Grier and Bobby Grier of Farmerville, LA; nieces, Linda Grier Barron, Peggy Grier Anderson, both of Farmerville, LA, and Jane Horn Doerries of Houston, TX; as well as numerous special cousins and relatives.

Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 26th at the Okolona United Methodist church with Rev. Rick Wilkins officiating. A private burial will be held at Dobyville Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Okolona United Methodist Church or to the charity of your choice.
