Phillip Randall McNeely, 70, of Little Rock, passed away October 29, 2010. Born in Eddyville, Kentucky to William Earl McNeely and Ruth Elene Edmison, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Church at Rock Creek. Phillip was a commercial painter and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in ink, reading, fishing and following politics.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda Diane Shinn McNeely; sons, Matthew Wayne McNeely (Deann) of Roland and Patrick Ryan McNeely of Little Rock; daughters, Monica Lynn Quinn (Rock) of Oklahoma and Heather Elene Lowry (Jared) of Benton; five grandchildren, Savannah Paige Boozer (Jared), Peyton Alyse McNeely, Connor Matthew McNeely, Caitlin Quinn and Erin Quinn (Jared); one great-grandchild, Isabelle Quinn Boozer; step-sister, Barbara Jean Mize; and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters and great-grandchild, Rowan Phillip Boozer.
His family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses of the 6th, 7th and 8th floors at UAMS, and special thanks to the nurses and doctors at John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital, especially the warm and caring staff of the 6th floor hospice unit.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, November 1 at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Tuesday, November 2 at 10:30 a.m. at The Church at Rock Creek, officiated by Mark Evans, followed by interment with Military Honors at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock
