Phillip Hefner

Phillip Michael Hefner, 65, of Little Rock, passed away August 12, 2014. Born in Little Rock to James and Bernice Griffith Hefner, he was retired from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department after 40 years of service.

Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife of 27 years, Brenda Hefner, whom he loved with all his heart and affectionately called "BJ"; daughters, Amber Johnson (Josh) of Kansas, Marlys Brindus of Maryland and Kayla Hefner (Ruby) of Bryant; bonus daughters, Delisa Rader (Bob) of Little Rock and Laurie Hayes (Jim) of Kentucky; brothers, Steve Hefner of Little Rock, Preston "Pepe" Hefner (Devon) of Fairfield Bay and Clifford Hefner of Little Rock; nine grandsons, three granddaughters and one great-grandson.

Phillip loved his family and his fur babies, and was a lover of horses and all other animals.

At Phillip's request, no services are planned. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Pulaski County, 14600 Colonel Glenn Rd., Little Rock, AR 72210.
