Phillip C. Alexander of North Little Rock died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at the age of 86. He was born in Deadwood, Texas on July 18, 1922. He was the son of Tommie and Ava (Mills) Alexander.
Mr. Alexander was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran, serving aboard the U.S.S. Tampa in Greenland and Iceland during WW II, and had a certificate for crossing The Arctic Circle.
Mr. Alexander was a retired Occupational Therapist at Ft. Roots, VA. for over forty years.
Phillip was a loving husband of 66 years, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his daughter, Suzie Barton ( Richard Holmes) of Benton; a son, Cameron Alexander (Kim) of Conway; 4 Grandchildren, Steve Barton, Xann Henry, Tim Alexander and Nikki Ake; 3 Great Granddaughters and 1 Great Grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Mary Jo, and his parents.
A visitation will be held from 2 to 4pm on Sunday, November 30 at Huson Funeral Home 7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday, December 1st at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery with Brad Vaden officiating.
