Philip Neil Deputy, age 45, of Kirby, died Friday, November 4, 2011. He was born on December 29, 1965, at Madison, Indiana, the son of Malcolm Neil Deputy and Wilma Ann Fox Deputy. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oren and Evelyn Fox and Kenneth and Lois Deputy; and his nephew, Chris Palmer. He was a member of the Kirby Church of Christ; as an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was a devoted Arkansas Razorback fan, a Nascar enthusiast and loved writing and listening to music. Neil's greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, whom he was so proud of for their academic and athletic accomplishments. He is survived by his mother, Wilma Deputy of Kirby; his father, Mac Deputy of Deputy, Indiana; two brothers and sister-in-law, Sean and Denise Deputy and Mark Deputy, all of Kirby; one sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Darrel Rinkle of Kirby; seven nieces and nephews, Samantha Manasco of Umpire, Loren Deputy, Zach Deputy, both of Kirby, Tristan Deputy of Umpire, Hannah Deputy, Lane Rinkle and Matthew Deputy, all of Kirby; and one great-niece, Emma Manasco of Umpire. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 7, 2011, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Kevin Smead and Bro. Jack Herring officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Bill Fox, Rick Kelser, Darrel Rinkle, Mark Foshee, Adrian Furr, Tony Chambers, Matt Crow and Billy Jack Foshee. Honorary pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews.
