Peter Hall Thompson

Peter H. Thompson, 63, of Bryant AR, died peacefully at home Sunday, January 29, 2023, after battling Pulmonary Fibrosis for nine years. Pete was born in Sanford, FL on December 27, 1959 to Samuel and Bobbynette Thompson. He graduated from Western High School in 1977 and California Baptist University in 1992. Pete worked in several jobs throughout his life but his main careers were Worship Pastor for 22 years and a Missionary for FamilyLife for 15 years. He was an active member of Crosspointe Church in Bryant when he passed away.

Pete was a wonderful musician, avid model railroader, and loved to be involved in his children’s lives doing musical theater and judging swim meets. He will be remembered as a man passionate for the gospel, who loved leading people to worship God and bringing out the best in others. He had a friendly personality and quick wit. Pete loved his family deeply, and more importantly, loved his savior Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Margie; his children, Kaitlyn of Wylie, TX, Cory of Bryant, AR and Collin of Bryant, AR. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Randy and his daughter, Lindsay Faith.

The family would like to thank all his wonderful caregivers at Arkansas Hospice...especially Cheryl Kendrick and Krista Brandon.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 11th, 2:00pm at Crosspointe Church, 401 N Reynolds Rd, Bryant AR 72022. Reception/Visitation following the service. All are welcome. He will be interred in his family's cemetery in Conner, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the FamilyLife Local Team in Little Rock, AR. https://give.cru.org/1061757 It was Pete’s dream when he & Margie became missionaries with FamilyLife in 2007 that FamilyLife have “boots on the ground” in local communities throughout the U.S.

He was instrumental in the team that proposed and launched this concept at FamilyLife. He was so thrilled to see local ministry taking flight as his days were waning. It would mean so much to him to be remembered in this way.
