Peggy Waters

Peggy Lue Rogers Waters (85) of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2023. She was born October 20, 1937, in Windom, Texas to Albert and Doris Collins. She was a member of McRae First Baptist Church, where she actively served in the Meal Ministry, WOM, TeamKids and taught Sunday School for a number of years. Peggy worked as an LPN at WCMC until her retirement after about 17 years. She was a faithful Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her children Chester (Karyn) Waters, Cathy (Lester) Payne, Susanne Litton, Darlene Jones, Patricia (Jody) Jones, David (Mary Beth) Waters, daughter-in-law Kathie Waters; brother David (Anna) Collins; sisters Connie (Jim) Baker, Nina Fowler, Ann (Bill) Brooking, Elzane Mackey, and Wanda Lyles; a multitude of grandchildren, family and friends, and her dog, Stetson.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years and father of her children Lester L. Waters, Sr.; a son Lester Waters, Jr.; a grandson Josh Caruthers; two brothers; three sisters; and two sons-in-law, Jeff Litton and Timothy Jones.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.  Funeral will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023, at McRae First Baptist Church, with burial in Lebanon Cemetery.
