Peggy Ann Lewandoski, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delton Alexander Lewandoski and Cora Sue Rainwater Lewandoski and sister, Linda Mae Sattler. She is a 1970 graduate of Little Rock Central High School. She is survived by her sister, Debby LeSieur (Henry); three nephews, Bryce Madden (Frank Acker), Daniel LeSieur (Amy), and David LeSieur (Jill); and two great nieces, Catie and Mary LeSieur. She always held dear these very special people in her life, Carol Mills, Christy Mabry and Doris Love. She is also survived by her 4-legged adopted daughter, Emmie Lew.
Peggy was a lover of animals and the great outdoors - experiencing life by white water rafting on glacier water in Alaska; to climbing a rock wall in Florida or enjoying the breeze in her Austin-Healey convertible sports car. She would also describe herself as just being content to sit on the curb outside. She was a lover of the sun, and the beach, and of gentle breezes. Water anywhere seemed to make her feel closer to God!
Peggy was very outgoing – to her, the more the merrier; she loved all music, especially live music and played and sang with a friend in a folk-rock group, even meeting her idol at the time - James Taylor. She was blessed to have experienced life from Alaska to Costa Mesa, California; and all points between including beautiful Santa Barbara, California.
While she was a native Arkansan, she felt the need to venture away in 1993 to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Living in Florida and traveling to Virginia, St. Thomas, the US Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, and enjoying multiple cruises; She had many trips of a lifetime.
Peggy worked doing everything from a clerk [at her first job] to 8 years of mortgage loans, 16 years of legal, 6 years of sales, including the most competitive and fun sales positions - selling corporate accounts on a small cruise ship in Florida.
Peggy returned to Little Rock in 2007 upon the illness and death of her sister, Linda Sattler. She retired from Southwest Power Pool Regional Entity as a Paralegal in the Enforcement Department. Not only did she love her position, but she called her SPP Family, simply the best.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. She leaves with these parting words: “I was blessed to have had you in my life… don’t mourn but celebrate me by going out and just doing something kind, as simple as a smile! God Bless you All until we meet again!"
Arrangements entrusted to Smith Little Rock Funeral Home.
