Peggy Leamons

Peggy Ann (Walters) Leamons, 58 departed this life, at home in Curtis, on Thursday, November 8th, after a five-year battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Peggy was born November 24, 1948 in Clark County, the daughter of the late Roland and Pauline (Hunter) Walters.

Peggy was retired as the Administrative Assistant to the Plant Manager at International Paper Company, Gurdon Wood Products Division in 2005, after 31 years of service. She became a Christian in her teens while attending Union Grove Christian Church.

Peggy was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis of Prescott in 1986 and Ramon, last employed on the Island of Antigua, in 2001.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Hugh E. Leamons Jr., and her son, Chance, both of Curtis; her sister, Linda (Walters) Chisholm of Indianapolis; a brother Don Walters of Blue Springs, MO; and 12 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, Arkadelphia.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 11th at the Ruggle-Wilcox Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Rod Chisholm officiating.

Burial will be in the Copeland Ridge Cemetery. Peggy will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
